Bringing in Fall Fashion with Smart-yet-Casual American Sportswear Brand GANT

Disclosure: I received a sample from GANT for review purposes.  The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.  I was not financially compensated for this post.

The weather is finally cooling here in central Texas, which to some means football and pumpkin spice everything.  To me it means transitioning to fall fashion (oh, and also pumpkin spice everything)!  Today I am featuring one of fall's fashion trends: relaxed tailored.  You know, the smart-yet-casual looks where you can pair a button-up shirt with jeans (or even activewear), or play the traditional tailored pieces with just a bit of avant-garde (think blouses, pants, and skirts with asymmetry or deconstruction).  GANT, the American sportswear brand with a long heritage of playing the smart-yet-casual looks, has just the pieces you need for this fall trend, for either men or women.

GANT approached me to work with them, and I loved how their styles embody the fall relaxed tailored trend, and go seamlessly from the office to the weekend.  I chose the GANT Rugger Knotted Shirt (which comes in white or dark blue) to try out for today's post.  This particular shirt also happens to be on major sale right now!

I love the 3/4-sleeve length and the wrap detail (which is also big for fall).  The cool thing is that it doesn't actually wrap all the way... it is kind of a faux wrap, but still ties at one side.  The fact that the shirt is actually still connected, and has a few snaps in the front, keep it secure despite its loose and flowy fit.  The tie gives it a nice asymmetry, which I love.  The cut is relaxed, and the fabric is airy and breathable.  The shirt is also longer in the back, which is flattering.

I love the way the blue color pops with vibrancy.  Blue is one of my favorite colors to wear, and is very complementary for brunettes, in case you didn't know.

What are your favorite fall fashion trends?  Do you think you can get on board with the relaxed tailored style?
