6 Accessories You Need for This Fall

I have worked in collaboration with one of our partners to provide you with the below post.

These long summer days will soon be coming to an end, which means fall (and all things pumpkin) are just around the corner. With its cool air, vibrant leaves, and the scent of holidays in the air, fall is our favorite! Boots and sweaters and hoodies, oh my! It’s time to pull out those autumn favorites and dress them up with some fun accessories you’ll love for fall. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

1. Blazers
Blazers aren’t just for work anymore. They’re perfect for all occasions. You can wear them with just about anything. Put one on over jeans and a tee for a casual daytime look. Or pair it with a cute dress and Coach clutch for a dressier look. Find a tailored style that is flattering and it’s sure to become a favorite.

2. Scarves
This one kind of goes without saying, but we can’t have a fall accessories list without mentioning this fall fashion must! Scarves are unbelievably versatile. Have you seen the YouTube videos that show you umpteen ways to wear a scarf? Definitely worth a watch, if not. Also, try wearing them as headbands, or tying them to your favorite tote for a little pop. Check out stylish scarves from

3. Loafers
We know, going back to regular shoes after so many days in comfy flip flops and sandals, can be rough. But it doesn’t have to be! Flats and loafers are ideal for fall. There are a few shoe companies out there that have mastered the art of combining cuteness with comfort. Rothy’s is one of them. Take a look at their flats and loafers—hint, hint: save a penny or two with Rothy’s coupon codes. Pair them with jeans or your favorite leggings, and you’ll be looking very “fall”.

4. Ankle Booties
Ankle booties have been around for a few years now, and it would appear they are here to stay. Yay! One of our favorite fall fashions, they are endlessly versatile. Wear them with jeans, dresses, leggings, cropped pants, with or without socks, over tights. There’s really no wrong way to wear these. They are a little more substantial than loafers, and give you a completely different look. This fall, try a bolder color than you’ve tried before to add some punch to neutral outfits. Trade your heels for a pair of high-heeled booties for a more contemporary look. You’ll have no problem working these into your fall wardrobe!

5. Sweaters
Another fall favorite! Okay, they all kind of are, but sweaters are a definite must. With so many styles, fits, and materials to choose from, there’s a sweater out there for every taste. If you live in jeans and tees, just add a sweater. Instant warmth and style. Sweaters work with just about everything. Skip the jacket and try a heavy knit sweater if you plan to be outside all day, soaking up that crisp, fall air. Or choose a lightweight fitted sweater to wear under your favorite jacket. No matter how you wear them, sweaters are easy to layer and give you the exact look you’re going for.

6. Handbags
Lots of variety in the world of purses and handbags. Retro styles and bold colors are trending for fall. Oversized hobos are also here for 2018, which is perfect if you’re the type that likes to carry everything in her bag. Now you can lug all of your stuff around stylishly! Clutches are a classic style, but this season you’ll see a ‘bow clutch’, in which a bow is added to the front, acting as a handle. School-sized backpacks are also trending. Find them in leather, faux fur, studded, or a little more basic. Box bags are also hitting the handbag scene. Think retro school lunch box meets purse with handles or straps. You don’t have to follow the trends, however. A classic handbag never goes out of style.

So, get yourself ready for these cocoa-sipping, fire-cuddling, novel-reading, glorious days of autumn that’ll be here before you know it. Whether you decide to step out of your fashion comfort zone and try some bold new styles, or are happy sticking with your traditional fall look, accessorize away and find a look you love!
