Pairing Wine and Music with Cambria’s Benchbreak Chardonnay and Benchbreak Pinot Noir

This post was sponsored by Cambria Winery as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

My husband and I love wine.  Drinking wine is such a sensory experience.  We especially love wine tasting, as being in the vineyards where the grapes are grown, surrounded by the environment that gives them the intricate taste, adds to the experience and enjoyment of the wine.

Art, much like wine, is often intricate, and when savored and examined, can be enjoyed on a number of sensory levels.  Music is one form of art that is particularly sensory.  I can remember times where I have seen a favorite singer in a music hall with great acoustics where I could feel the music as well as hear it.  Then there are those other times when you are with a group of friends having some laughs, and the song that was playing will bring you back to that moment when you hear it again in the future.  Even alone, listening to amazing instrumental or vocal harmonies with some headphones in the comfort of your room can take you places emotionally and physically.

It is really cool that Cambria Wines has thought to combine these two, and help people experience and enjoy their wines in a new way.  They created the Notes of Cambria four-part video series, which is meant to take you through a unique sensory experience as you enjoy Cambria’s Benchbreak Chardonnay and Cambria’s Benchbreak Pinot Noir wines.  You can see the videos on YouTube here (which are both educational and experiential), then enjoy a bottle of Benchbreak Chardonnay with the Chardonnay Shanty and Benchbreak Pinot Noir with the Pinot Noir Waltz:

My husband and I actually got the chance to visit Cambria’s vineyard for wine tasting.  As I mentioned earlier, we love wine tasting.  Living in southern California at the time, we found ourselves driving up to the central coast for a getaway that revolved heavily around wine tasting.  We spent our second anniversary in the Santa Maria Valley for a romantic weekend of wine tasting.  This is when we got to visit and taste at Cambria Wines’ vineyard.  Our memories of the Cambria winery are very fond… in fact it was one of our favorite vineyards that we experienced in the Santa Maria Valley that weekend.  The lovely and spacious grounds were surrounded by an incredible view of the valley, and we remember the staff being friendly and passionate about what they did.  Not to mention the wines!  The wines were some of the best quality that we tasted during our getaway.

In addition to the sensory experience of wine tasting at a vineyard, one of the other benefits is having a professional explain the wine-making process to you and walk you through the tasting experience.   There is an art to tasting wine that helps you to appreciate it that much more.  This is why it is so cool that Cambria has made it even easier to enjoy their Benchbreak Chardonnay and Benchbreak Pinot Noir without the need to be at a professional tasting room with the songs on YouTube and these great tasting notes infographics:

High Style on a Low Budget - Pre-Fall Fashion Wish List from SheIn

If you follow @fabeverydayblog on Instagram, then you've probably noticed I've been wearing a lot of clothing from SheIn recently.  I first discovered SheIn last winter when I found an adorable blush pink ruffle bell-sleeve sweater from them at a great price.  After receiving the sweater, I found that the sizing was true, and that the quality was much better than expected.  You never know when shopping online... and when the prices are that good you almost assume it to be hit-or-miss on the fit and quality.  But this is not the case with SheIn!

Fast-forward to now, where I have become a regular SheIn customer on nearly a monthly basis, and have yet to be disappointed in an item I have purchased from them.  In fact, I am wearing about seven pieces from SheIn during the U.K. road trip we are on currently (stay tuned for those pieces in my August What I Wore post coming later this month).

Today, as I am starting to think of my pre-fall wardrobe, I have put together my wish list picks for some great-priced SheIn pieces to transition you into fall.  Click the picture for details on how to shop these items on SheIn.

Disclosure: I received Nano clothes for review purposes.  The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

But it's not just boys - Nano makes stylish and comfy clothes for girls too!  And from now until 9/15/17, when you shop Nano and use discount code fabeveryday, you'll receive 20% off your entire order!

Super Easy DIY Hanging Organizer for Your Next Family Road Trip

The #FabFam is off to our next adventure today... a road trip around the U.K.!  Since my kids are already road trip and travel troopers, we have found lots of ways to keep them entertained and happy on long trips (see my tried-and-true tips for surviving road trips with young children in this post here).  Since this trip takes us on a plane before a two-week road trip journey in foreign countries, I had to think and pack differently to organize ourselves.  I was inspired recently when I saw this Simple Road Trip Hack post on Modern Mom Life, and decided to try this project, and make it work for my two young sons.

Today I am sharing how I turned one simple over-the-door shoe rack into two hanging car organizers for kid's road trip activities and snacks.
